Locations

ACO Med Supply is an award-winning distributor of medical supplies based out of beautiful Charlotte, North Carolina. The company proudly services medical communities in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Virginia, West Virginia and continues to grow. The ACO Med Supply Warehouse is over 51,000 square feet and ships products from over 250 manufacturers. Along with the Charlotte-area location, ACO Medical Supply is also affiliated with ACO Tennessee in conjugation with KBI and Miotech Sports Medicine, located in Michigan. (Both of which are DJO area distributors).

History

ACO Med Supply, Inc. was established June 1, 1995, as an orthopedic specialty distributor covering North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee. Initially, ACO Med Supply represented three manufacturers; DonJoy, Procare and Technol. Today, ACO Med Supply proudly distributes product from over 250 different manufacturers. The company began in a warehouse of 2,500 square feet, with two employees and nine sales representatives covering three states.

ACO Med Supply has focused on the business aspect of the medical practice so the clinical staff can concentrate on their patients. With that focus, ACO Med Supply experienced rapid growth and quickly relocated, doubling the warehouse space. The most recent expansion in July, 2009, allowed for a warehouse of 51,000 square feet, making it one of the largest distribution centers for orthopedic products in the southeast. ACO Med Supply currently has 70 people within our sales, service and operations area.

As we continue to focus on growth in our current market of the Carolinas, Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky and Georgia, it seems appropriate to remember those customers who have contributed to our success. We would like to extend to them our sincere gratitude for their support... past, present and future. ACO Med Supply has continued to excel in a competitive market because the Customer is the cornerstone of our business.

Leadership Team

ACO’s day-to-day operations are managed by a highly skilled and knowledgeable leadership team with over 50 years combined experience. Our leaders have built a layer of programs over the years that make life easier for customers all while ensuring quality products and exceptional customer experiences. Our leadership team strives for excellence and innovations to help orthopaedic professionals provide exceptional patient care.

Stuart (Stu) Ross 

CEO

ACO's founder and chief executive Stu attended college at the University of South Carolina where he studied marketing and business. Prior to creating ACO his employment over the years included being a Women's Apparel Sales Representative for Jarrell Distributors, Inc., 1982 to 1984; manufacturer's representative for Jones Apparel Group, Inc., 1984 to 1986; Direct Regional Sales Representative for Calvin Klein Sports Women's, 1987 to 1990. Stu then joined the world of medical sales by becoming a Medical Sales Representative for DonJoy Orthopedics, 1991 to present.

After immediate success and experience in medical sales he, then founded ACO Med Supply, Inc., on June 1, 1995, along with Jimmy Gray. Stuart currently works in a sales development role over sales representatives, on behalf of DonJoy Orthopaedics and ACO Med Supply. He is married to his beautiful wife, Martha, and they have six children, Andrew, Alex, Trevor, Travis, Sydney and Reagan. His hobbies include traveling with his family, snow skiing, boating, fitness and eating at his favorite restaurant, Sullivan's.

Greg Harmon                                                                                

President 

Greg joined ACO Med Supply as a Sales Representative in August of 2001. His duties include total management of the sales force for DonJoy and ACO Med Supply in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Southeastern Georgia. Greg is part of the senior leadership team for ACO Med Supply in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his undergraduate degree in Sports Medicine from the University of South Carolina and a Master's of Science Degree from the University of Tennessee. Since joining ACO Med Supply, Greg has been a winner of many sales awards from DonJoy and ACO Med Supply, including Donjoy Representative of the Year in 2007. Greg resides in Columbia, South Carolina with his wife, Erin, his daughter, Sarah, and his son, John.

Lane Harlan Mason  

V.P. of Operations  

Harlan Mason was most recently Vice President of Shared Operations at McKesson Medical Surgical.  At McKesson Medical Surgical, an $8 Billion Division of McKesson Corporation, he developed an innovative distribution model that improved customer satisfaction and revenue growth, strengthened operational capabilities, and drove profit improvement in core focus segments.  He also spearheaded a $1 billion M&A integration of the lab business, managed multi-year investment projects, and implemented scalable enterprise solutions, network optimization programs, regulatory improvements, and implemented cutting-edge processes and systems.  Earlier in his career, Harlan gained executive experience in healthcare supply chain, logistics and operations serving in corporate, regional, and field leadership roles with PSS acquired by McKesson in 2013. 

Harlan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Jacksonville State University and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix Jacksonville Florida Campus.  He has completed additional studies at the University of Notre Dame and the University of North Florida.  He also earned leadership, supply chain, lean, six sigma, and regulatory certifications from KW Tunnel, JJ Keller, Council for Supply Chain Management, Dale Carnegie, Landmark, Skill Soft, Zenger Folkman, and the Health Industry Distribution Association.  He has regularly lectured on Operations Management at Flagler College.    

Harlan has been a member of several professional organizations including the National Association of Wholesalers Operations Roundtable, Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, and the Health Industry Distributors Association.  Harlan has served on business, civic, and governmental boards including the Jacksonville Lean Consortium, St. Johns County Industrial Development Authority, Big Brothers Big Sisters, and was appointed by the Florida Governor and confirmed by the Florida State Senate to serve on the Northeast Florida Regional Planning Council.
